   駒野なんて大したことはない。

   中三のときに父親を無くして、
   私立初芝橋本高、ガンバ大阪、サンフレッチェ広島などからスカウトされたが、
   寮住まい出来て経済的負担が最も少ない広島ユースに入り
   休日でも友人と遊びに行かず、寮に残ってトップチームのビデオを見て研究し
   プロ契約してから現在まで欠かさすことなく母親に仕送りをし続け
   弟の大学の学費まで全額負担し
   性格は純朴そのもので、森崎和幸曰く「今時珍しい生き物」で
   左膝前十字靭帯損傷の療養中にエコノミークラス症候群にかかり
   生命の危機に陥ったが、不屈の闘志で復活し、アテネ五輪代表に選出され
   アテネ五輪ガーナ戦で鎖骨骨折、一ヵ月後ブドウ膜炎まで発症し失明の危機もあったが
   それすら乗り越えて日本代表になった。

   そんなドコにでもいるプレーヤー、それが駒野。
